Jean-Louis points out that the MiniPC Acemagic F5A is on sale for €519.99 in Barebone version. An attractive price for this type of machine which will delight owners of solutions equipped with memory and storage.
AceMagic F5A
This MiniPC features an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. A chip built on 12 cores and 24 threads. Four Zen 5 cores and eight Zen 5C cores are added to offer excellent computing skills. The 36 MB of cache memory and the maximum frequency of 5.1 GHz offer performance here high and the graphics circuit is not left out with a Radeon 890M solution built around 16 RDNA 3.5 cores at 2.9 GHz.

Added to this set, a small Ryzen AI XDNA2 NPU will offer 50 TOPS of specialized computing performance. Enough to justify the mention “AI” in the name of the chip. The set, operating at 15 and 54 W of TDP, will offer a complete range of uses ranging from office automation to gaming, including video creation, programming or image editing.

Associated with this base, we find two slots SODIMM the DDR5-5600 which will be able to carry 128 GB of RAM. Storage will be mounted on two M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 ports. The AceMagic F5A case remains quite compact at 13.2 cm wide, 13 cm deep and 6.1 cm thick.

On this model, we therefore find air suction coming from the sides of the chassis and extraction towards the rear. The fins are located above the connectors. The height of the case also allows the integration of a second, larger fan to cool the memory and storage components. A dissipation plate also appears to cover the M.2 2280 ports.

From a connectivity point of view, the placement is classic, we find a majority of identical elements. On the front, we note the presence of a start button, a 3.5 mm combo audio jack, two USB 3.2 Type-A and a USB4 port. A small microphone is also present as well as a small Reset button accessible with a paperclip.

On the back of the AceMagic F5A, we find a power jack, a second USB4 port, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 video outputs, two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, a USB 2.0 Type-A and a USB 3.2 Type-A. No Kensington Lock type Anti-Theft port but there is an OCuLink port on the side of the chassis. Natively, the machine will be able to control four screens thanks to the video outputs of the USB4 ports which offer DisplayPort. It will also be possible to add a secondary graphics circuit via OCuLink. The network part is also combined with a Wi-Fi7 and Bluetooth 5.4 module.

Delivered with a mounting support, the machine is presented as discreet and efficient by the brand. Its level of performance should be very impressive for most uses. It is announced as compatible with Windows 11 and Linux with support for distributions like Ubuntu or Manjaro. Please note, I have no idea about the compatibility of OCuLink functions under Linux.

Le AceMagic F5A en promo à 519€
The machine is currently on sale at €599 with a deduction of €80 via a code. The “real” price of this machine is around €799 and we have already come across it at €699. With this clearance price at €599 and the code ACEFH80 drops to €519 which is an excellent price.

Be careful though, the site indicates that there are only 3 units left in stock. If this interests you, you won’t have to hang around too long. The stock is located in Germany and the machine will take a few days to arrive at your home. If you have a bit of DDR5 and M.2 2280 storage in a drawer or another PC that is starting to show signs of fatigue, this is a machine that has a lot going for it.
