In late October 2025, the EVA Le Mans venue opened to offer a virtual reality experience in La Chapelle-Saint-Aubin, Sarthe.
Since its launch, the venue has also established a local e-sports league and now has 10 official teams competing.
A local e-sports league dedicated to e-sports in Sarthe
It’s a local e-sports scene that’s starting to grow. Since the venue opened six months ago, the structure has formed 11 official teams made up of a total of 46 players.
“The primary goal is to have fun and enjoy playing at a higher level,” emphasizes Tom Leroy, communication intern at EVA Le Mans.
What are the requirements to join a local e-sports team?
Each e-sports team must consist of at least four players and preferably have a team name. Each player must also have a subscription to the EVA venue.
The venue has four teams in the first division and four in the second. It is awaiting one more team to open its third division.
“The level is evolving quickly, and we can change divisions as the evenings progress,” says Tom Leroy. “We can have fun in all divisions.”
Registered players come from Le Mans, La Flèche, Sillé-le-Guillaume, and Alençon.
Evenings broadcast on Twitch
Each month, the teams participate in local league competitions. Six matches take place, culminating in an intersalon (with another venue worldwide).
The goal for the first team in the local first division is to be able to compete with players from other venues at a regional level.
The competitions are livestreamed on the Twitch platform, and the venue in Le Mans is enjoying great success. In March, it was the second most-watched broadcast after the EVA venue in Paris.
