On Tuesday, August 4th, the Fêtes de la Madeleine will take place in Châteaurenard.
The Culture Animation Tradition (CAT) association, responsible for organizing the bullfight in Châteaurenard, presents the 2026 edition. It will be held on Tuesday, August 4th at 6 pm during the Fêtes de la Madeleine in Châteaurenard. The poster was created by the artist Méloie Nicolas.
Like in previous years, the association aims to showcase French breeding. This year, the spotlight will be on the French bullfighting ranch, San Sebastian. Six bulls from this breeding will be present in the Châteaurenard ruedo.
To face these bulls, the association has chosen a youthful lineup with three different profiles who share one thing in common. It will be a bullfighter cartel in 2026:
– As the lead torero, El Rafi from Nîmes. – One of the rising Spanish stars, matador Ismael Martín. – And the young French bullfighter Nino Julian will close the lineup.
This cartel of bullfighters brings energy and once again shows that our arena is looking towards the future.
It is announced that the partnership with the Ecole d’Aficion program organized by the Union des Villes Taurines Françaises (UVTF) will be renewed. Last year, this program was a great success for us and for other arenas. In Châteaurenard, it allowed around 80 young people under 25 to get a free place in all categories.
