Jérémy Gisclon, better known as Jeremstar, is standing up for his beliefs. On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the content creator is being judged at the courthouse of Nîmes for interrupting a bullfight during the opening of the Vendanges feria in September 2025. Publicly committed to the animal cause, he had jumped into the arena after the bull was killed, proudly holding a sign with the message “Fuck bullfighting.”
“Violently pushed to the ground and dragged out of the arena” by security, Jeremstar had then spent forty-eight hours in police custody. “I hate bullfighting. It’s not art, but animal torture. This heinous tradition must be abolished,” declared the famous content creator once released. Today, as his trial begins, he regrets nothing and continues to strongly defend those who do not have a voice.
Jeremstar’s trial opens this Thursday, April 2
Jeremstar’s trial, scheduled for this Thursday at 1:30 pm at the courthouse of Nîmes, promises to be tense. The content creator will have to answer to the accusations of two other activists and two members of the association PETA. The defendants face up to one year in prison, a €15,000 fine, and a possible ban from arenas or sports facilities. On his part, the influencer plans to clearly display his beliefs by wearing a t-shirt with the message “Torturing bulls is a crime.”
A few hours before his hearing, Jeremstar reaffirmed his position in a message: “If defending an animal being stabbed to death is a crime, then I accept it. There is no justification for torturing a bull to the applause. What I saw tonight profoundly shocked me, and I am proud to have acted to shine the spotlight on this atrocity that still takes place in French arenas,” adding: “They call it a tradition; I call it bloodthirsty cruelty, and it has no place today.”
