According to the Vietnam E-Sports and Entertainment Association (VIRESA), the Vietnamese PUBG Mobile national team made history on April 26 afternoon by winning the gold medal at the 2026 Asian E-Sports Championships (ECA 2026). This is the most notable performance in Vietnamese e-sport at the start of the year.
Throughout the tournament, Vietnamese players demonstrated great consistency and precise tactical play. After intense innings, the team accumulated a total of 127 points. Thanks to this result, Vietnam rose to the top of the medal rankings of the PUBG Mobile competition in Asia.
This resounding success was actually expected, since the backbone of the national team was made up of Team Flash, who had just won the PMPL VN Spring 2026 national tournament. On the national stage, Team Flash demonstrated impressive strength, totaling 271 points and 6 decisive victories (“Chicken Dinner”) in 18 matches. This exceptional performance served as a springboard, allowing the players to maintain a high level of enthusiasm and discipline as they entered the continental scene.

In particular, young player Win – who recently won the FMVP title at PMPL VN Spring with record damage stats – continued to shine brightly at ECA 2026. The stability of Team Flash’s main team has allowed Vietnam to become a formidable opponent against all their rivals in size in the region.
Team Win had an exceptional tournament, winning the MVP (Best Player) title. The young players’ efforts were greatly aided by the unwavering support of veteran Levis8 (Phan Van Dong). Levis8’s extensive experience provided crucial moral support, allowing the entire team to maintain their composure in decisive moments.
The last day of competition was exciting. The race between Vietnam and South Korea (Team KRX) captivated the public. Although the South Korean team finished first overall, per Korean National Championship (KEL) regulations, their results were not taken into account for the official 2026 ECA medal rankings.
Seizing the opportunity and now a relentless pursuit, the Vietnamese national team was officially awarded the prestigious gold medal. This victory consolidated Vietnam’s dominant position in the regional PUBG Mobile esports scene.
