On the occasion of the new edition of Nuit Blanche, which takes place on June 6, 2026, the Guimet Museum invites you to explore the cultural riches of Asia. Take advantage of this exceptional evening to discover one of the largest collections of Asian art!

Nuit Blanche is a unique cultural event that transforms Paris into a huge museum open all night. Once a year, the city’s cultural spaces, from museums to art galleries, open their doors to the public for a night of art and discoveries. It is an exciting celebration of culture and art, an opportunity for everyone to explore unique exhibitions, performances, and installations.

At the heart of this cultural night, the Guimet Museum, also known as the National Museum of Asian Arts, offers an unparalleled experience on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Founded in 1879 by Emile Guimet, a French industrialist and scholar passionate about Asia, this museum houses one of the most significant collections of Asian art outside of Asia. From India to China to Japan, the museum offers a 5000-year journey through the history of Asian art, in 5,500 m² of permanent galleries; through the cultures, religions, and arts of this diverse continent.

With over 10,000 objects, we can learn more about the history of Asia and the Middle Ages. The collection includes furniture, clothing, ceramics, sculptures, manuscripts, as well as contemporary works, including Japanese ceramics by Hakuko Ono, Takahiro Kondo, Machiko Ogawa, photographs from Cambodian Mak Remissa and Japanese Takashi Arai, as well as bamboo work by Chikunsai Tanabe, offering a different perspective on this continent that seems rooted in its traditions but constantly evolving.

For Nuit Blanche 2026, a visit to the Guimet Museum is essential. Not only will you have the opportunity to discover its rich collection of Asian art, but you can also enjoy special guided tours, temporary exhibitions, and interactive workshops. Whether you are an art enthusiast or a curious novice, the Guimet Museum promises an evening of discovery and wonder.
