And there were four! CSBJ announced this midweek that a fourth player, from its Espoirs category, will be joining the first team when training resumes this summer. This player is the 21-year-old winger Raphaël Arnaud-Joufray. He has been playing in the club’s youth categories for the past three seasons.

Impressive first steps

Impressing in the Espoirs championship, he also stood out with the team competing in the Nationale championship. He was among the young players selected for the trip to Marcq-en-Barœul in early April, for the 25th matchday. The Berjallien winger, wearing the number 14 jersey, scored a try in the team’s 7-37 victory in the suburbs of Lille.

Arnaud-Joufray will therefore be present at the start of training alongside three other Espoirs: prop Thomas Niemoz, scrum-half Jean-Lucas Dardier, and center Romain Goutière. This decision was announced a few weeks ago by Stéphane Glas in preparation for the upcoming season. With new recruits and young players joining the squad for the 2026/27 season, he becomes the 12th reinforcement for CSBJ.
