Were you born after January 1, 2006, are you passionate about creating 3D assets and want to test your talent in competition? The WorldSkills competition launches its 49th edition.
WorldSkills : C’est quoi ?
It is the largest skills competition in the world. Often referred to as “Skills Olympic Games“, it allows young professionals to demonstrate their technical excellence during high-level events. The objective is to promote professional training and to fly the colors of French know-how internationally.
In 3D Game Art, candidates must demonstrate versatility across the entire production chain of a video game asset (Concept, Modeling, UVs, Texturing and Engine Integration), all within a limited time and according to strict professional specifications.
The WorldSkills adventure is accessible to all (subject to age) and begins with a light commitment: a single day of tests during the regional selections.
For the champions, the experience changes dimension when they join their regional team alongside the winners of other professions. This course generally includes three weekends of physical and mental preparation to confidently approach the qualifications and national finals.
The final stage awaits the champions of each profession who join the French team. An excellent preparation program then begins, including international internships, in order to prepare at the highest level for world competition.
The route of the 49th edition
Sélections Régionales : Hiver 2026
The tests take place at the local level to designate the champion of each region.
National Finals : Orléans, octobre 2027
A total immersion of 3 days of intensive tests, in front of an audience and a jury of experts.
Compétition InternationaleÂ: Aichi, Japan, Fall 2028
The French champion joins the French team to face the best in the world.
Age requirementÂ: To take part in the adventure, competitors must be under 23 years old in the year of the world competition (for this edition, you must be born on or after January 1, 2006).
