PUBG Mobile announces its first ever reality show, “Trial of Fire”.

Tencent has officially unveiled the first-ever PUBG Mobile-based reality TV show, surprising the community with a new direction for the battle royale franchise. Titled PUBG Mobile: Trial of Firel’émission sera diffusée à partir until May 30, 2026.

This announcement comes shortly after the release of the game’s version 4.4 update and appears to significantly expand PUBG Mobile’s content, well beyond traditional games.

PUBG Mobile arrives in the world of reality TV

The announcement was made on May 21 via PUBG Mobile’s official social media channels.

Although details regarding the format are still limited, Tencent is expected to release additional teasers and trailers ahead of the show’s premiere later this month.

The title “Trial by Fire” seems heavily inspired by the functionality “Test of Courage” recently added in update 4.4. This mode featured six special trials on Erangel where players could unlock access to the Adobe Crown and interact with the centaur boss Helios.

Sixteen teams will compete in survival challenges in real conditions.

According to the official announcement, the reality TV show will feature:

• 16 elite teams from around the world
• Realistic Survie Scenarios
• Challenges directly inspired by PUBG Mobile game mechanics
