Sunnier weather starting Thursday in the Baltimore area
The rest of the week looks comfortable with lower humidity
HOPEFULLY A DRIER WEATHER PATTERN WILL MOTIVATE US TO BE MORE ACTIVE OUTSIDE AS WELL. WE HAD A LOT OF RAIN OVER THE PAST WEEK AND IT DID HELP THE MONTH OVERALL TO GET ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL. SO NOW FOR THE MONTH OF MAY, WE’RE AN INCH ABOVE NORMAL. BUT WHEN YOU LOOK BACK SINCE THE START OF THE YEAR, WE’RE STILL MISSED OUT ON ALMOST FOUR INCHES OF RAIN SINCE JANUARY. AND THAT’S ON TOP OF THE SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN THAT WE MISSED OUT ON LAST YEAR AS WELL. SO IT’S GOING TO BE A WHILE TILL THE DROUGHT COMPLETELY DISAPPEARS. BUT THIS RAIN CERTAINLY PUT A DENT IN IT. NOW WITH THE DRIER WEATHER PATTERN, IT’S GOING TO BE REALLY COMFORTABLE OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. PERFECT. AS THE ORIOLES WILL START THEIR SERIES WITH THE BLUE JAYS, THURSDAY LOOKS A LITTLE BREEZY BUT COMFORTABLE WITH LOWER HUMIDITY. HIGHS IN THE 70S. FRIDAY IS GOING TO BE SUNNY IN THE 70S AS WELL, AND IT IS A LITTLE BIT COOLER THIS WEEKEND WITH SATURDAY AT 72. BUT THAT SUNSHINE WILL REALLY HELP FOR THE AFTERNOON GAME. WE’RE REALLY COASTING THROUGH A COMFORTABLE WEATHER PATTERN FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS, WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70S THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, LOW 70. SATURDAY BACK TO THE MID 70S THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK. IF YOU’RE WAITING FOR SOMETHING MORE SUMMERY, MAYBE YOU’RE HOPING TO DO SOME WATER ACTIVITIES LATER NEXT WEEK. I CAN SEE A WARM UP WHEN WE GET INTO THE MID 80S. FOR NOW. THE LAST OF THE RAIN SHOWERS ABOUT TO MOVE OUT, SO A COUPLE LIGHT SHOWERS EXITING GLEN BURNIE. MORE RAIN HAS BEEN PASSING BY JUST TO OUR SOUTH, SO HEAVIER RAIN AROUND DC AND STRETCHING ALL THE WAY TOWARDS EASTON. I’M NOT SEEING MUCH LIGHTNING LEFT OVER IN THIS. THINGS ARE KIND OF WINDING DOWN AS THE NIGHT GOES ON, SO JUST A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR A LEFTOVER SHOWER HERE BEFORE ABOUT 3 A.M., AND THEN CLEARING SKIES INTO MORE SUNSHINE THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. IT’S GOING TO BE A BEAUTIFUL MORNING. IT’S BEEN SO LONG SINCE WE HAD TO THINK ABOUT SUNGLASSES, SO MAKE SURE YOU GRAB THOSE AS YOU HEAD OUT ON THURSDAY MORNING. WILL BE IN THE 70S. THEN BY THE AFTERNOON, AS MAYBE A FEW CLOUDS PASS THROUGH AT TIMES, BUT GENERALLY IT’S GOING TO BE A SUNNY AND DRY DAY. THE BREEZE PICKS UP OUT OF THE NORTHWEST 10 TO 15MPH. I LIKE TO THINK THAT’S GOING TO MAKE IT FEEL PRETTY REFRESHING OUTSIDE. JUST KEEP THAT WIND IN MIND. IF YOU’RE DOING ANYTHING OUTDOORS, INCLUDING ANYTHING WITH PAPERS OR NAPKINS, THOSE COULD FLY AWAY IN THE BREEZE. YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. SO A BEAUTIFUL STRETCH OF WEATHER. WE EARNED IT. AFTER MANY DAYS OF THAT BENEFICIAL RAIN. SO 70 FOR SEVERAL DAYS TO COME. AND AS THE AIR GETS DRIER, THE NIGHTS WILL GET COOLER. EVEN TOMORROW NIGHT SHOULD BE COOLER IN THE 50S. WE HAVE ANOTHER COOL NIGHT COMING UP, WHICH WILL BE SATURDAY NIGHT IN THE LOW 50S. THE WEEKEND LOOKS BEAUTIFUL THOUGH. PLENTY OF TIME TO GET OUTDOORS WITH BOTH DAYS LOOKING MOSTLY DRY. NEXT WEEK THERE’S JUST A SLIGH

It will feel comfortable on Thursday, with lower humidity and highs in the upper 70s. There will be a fresh breeze from the northwest around 10-15 mph.
