For their third match in seven days, the Tarbais have collected a third consecutive victory. A win full of maturity that will allow the club to dream at the end of the season.

They had announced it, so it’s no surprise that the Tarbais attacked the reception of Toulouse at full throttle. A territorial dominance but devoid of any chances that will say a lot about the intentions of the two teams. One side sees the Tarbais searching for their first home win since December 2025, while the other sees Toulouse lacking confidence, results, stuck at the bottom of the rankings, and fighting for survival.

Just like the first leg match, the TFC’s reserve team will struggle to implement their game. This is due to the suffocating pressure from Marc Fachan’s men who were well prepared. The trio of Guillossou, Favre, Sankoutcha will give the Toulouse defense a tough time.

As the pressure from TPF increases with accumulating free kicks and corners, it is the Violets who create the first excitement in the Trélut stands. On a set-piece, El Ouali receives the ball and after a fifty-meter run faces Hernandez. However, by hesitating too much, the Toulouse player allows Damien Fachan to make a crucial save for his team (21st minute).

A reminder for the Bigourdans who had conceded the opening goal to Arcachon, a few days earlier in a almost similar action. Unlike the trip to Gironde, the home team will stick to their game plan to find a gap against the Toulouse defense. However, the gap does not open with Fachan’s free kick. From 25 meters out in front of Collin’s goal, the Tarbais captain misses the target (26th minute). It takes ten more minutes to see the first shot on target from the Tarbais. A missile from Guillossou which turns into a goal. Sent through by Sankoutcha into the box, the TPF striker beats the goalkeeper to give his team a deserved lead (1-0, 36th minute).

Ineffective in the first half, Toulouse will return from the break with more intent. Twice Frechingues is close to equalizing for the two teams. The first on a deep run but his shot misses the target (51st minute). The second, seconds later from a right-wing cross. Once again, the Toulouse striker misses the target.

And this time Tarbes did not crack.

Two chances and that’s almost it. Despite Toulouse pushing towards the end of the match, the biggest chance falls to Fachan. From a 30-meter free kick, the Tarbais player chooses power and sends a powerful shot crashing onto the crossbar with Collin beaten (81st minute).

A final thrill gives way to an end-to-end attack in the last 10 minutes of stoppage time. Long minutes for the Tarbais who managed to keep the score thanks to the defensive contribution of the substitutes. A sign of newfound maturity in this Tarbais team that may not have won this match in mid-October or November.

After playing three matches in a week, including two away games, the most important thing was ultimately the result. And it’s there. Three points, a new maturity, and a home win that allow TPF to dream of something beautiful at the end of the season.
