Attorney general candidate hospitalized days ahead of runoff

South Carolina attorney general candidate and 8th Circuit Solicitor David Stumbo has been hospitalized just days before runoff elections this week.Stumbo said in a Facebook post Saturday that after waking up not feeling right, he was advised by his wife to go get checked out.He wrote that his doctors made the decision to admit him to the hospital to be safe, but he is ready for the polls to open Tuesday.Stumbo did not provide any additional details about the health concerns.Read the full statement here: WYFF News 4 spoke with the Stumbo campaign following the announcement. WYFF News 4 spoke with the Stumbo campaign following the announcement. A spokesperson said, ” David is doing great and looks forward to being back on the campaign trail tomorrow afternoon.”
