The qualifiers for the 2026 Asian Games on PUBG Mobile have concluded after three days of thrilling competition in Ho Chi Minh City.

The tournament took place from June 19 to 21 and brought together 23 national teams and territories from Asia.

This is one of the most important qualifying stages for e-sports at the 2026 Asian Games, demonstrating Vietnam’s growing prestige in organizing and managing international e-sports events.

At the end of the finals, eight teams qualified for the 2026 Asian Games: Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Nepal and Myanmar.

Throughout their qualifying journey for the World Cup in Japan, the Vietnamese team displayed consistent and convincing performances.

From the group stage, the contestants took the lead with 99 points and also won two Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCD), thus entering the final among the favorites.

The Vietnamese national PUBG Mobile team has clinched its place in the 2026 Asian Games.

During the decisive day of the competition, the Vietnamese team confirmed its excellent level by achieving a new qualification for the World Championship (WWCD). After six Grand Final matches, she totaled 66 points, including 28 ranking points and 38 elimination points, finishing third overall and officially punching her ticket to the 2026 Asian Games.

This performance once again confirms PUBG Mobile Vietnam’s progress on the international stage, while demonstrating the professional maturity and competitive spirit of players in high-level tournaments.

The national team participating in the selection round includes coach Le Quang Huy (VIE Cii) and players Vo Minh Thang (VIE Ha De), Pham Van Trung (VIE Bowz), Nguyen Ngoc Thien (VIE Topz), Nguyen Anh Quan (VIE Win) and Pham Van Hieu (VIE Zhius).

They are all experienced players who are currently participating in the competitions of Team Flash PUBG Mobile, one of the leading esports clubs in Vietnam.

Note that player Nguyen Anh Quan (VIE Win) continued to impress by being voted best player of the grand final.

Previously, he was also part of the Vietnamese team that won the gold medal in the PUBG Mobile team event at the SEA Esports Nations Cup 2026.

Authorized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the PUBG Mobile Qualification Round of the 2026 Asian Games is jointly organized by the Vietnam Electronic Sports and Entertainment Association (VIRESA), VNGGames and Tencent Games.

This event not only has professional importance for determining the places available at the Games, but also contributes to affirming Vietnam’s capacity to organize, manage and develop the e-sport ecosystem.

The 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya will be the second consecutive edition of the Games where eSports will be included as an official medal discipline, and it will also be the Games with the largest number of eSports disciplines ever, with 11 different sports.

According to VIRESA representatives, the choice of Vietnam to host the qualifications testifies to the country’s capacity to develop esports.

Beyond being a platform to compete for a place in the Asian Games, the event also helps promote Vietnam’s image as a dynamic destination for digital sports, technology and the creative economy.
