At the end of the four special stages of the day, Nicolas Rouillard put his name on the list of winners of the 43rd Rallye du Quercy. Winner of the Mâdoc Rally in 2024 and the Chasselas Rally in 2025, Nicolas Rouillard added the Rallye du Quercy to his list of victories this weekend. Driving his Citroen DS3 R5 with co-driver Christel Olivet, the 32-year-old pilot took the lead from the first special stage and held on to the top spot until the end of this 43rd edition.
Out of the four special stages at this year’s event, Nicolas Rouillard set the fastest times in the first three stages before securing second place in the fourth and final stage to ensure the ultimate victory. “We came to win, we had the car to perform, and everything went well. I knew the special stage Esclauzels-Saint Cirq Lapopie and discovered the special stage Lalbenque Belfort. They are two very beautiful stages. This is the fourth time I’ve been here and the first time I’ve won. We had a very nice weekend,” rejoiced Nicolas Rouillard, who will be at the start of the Rallye du Val D’Agout in three weeks in Tarn.
“Increasingly comfortable as the rally progressed” In the final standings of this 43rd edition, Nicolas Rouillard finished ahead of Julien Marty, who came in second driving a Citroen DS 3. Marty, a double winner of the event in 2022 and 2024, was pleased with his second-place finish. “We are very happy. It had been six months since we last raced, and for a comeback, we take a nice second place. The first special stage was a bit complicated, but we felt more and more comfortable as the rally progressed and we set the fastest time in the fourth and final stage. We really enjoyed ourselves. If someone had told us before this rally that we would finish second, with the quality of the field present, we would have signed up,” explained Julien Marty.
Third overall in the day’s four special stages, Frédéric Meurant, driving a Skoda Fabia, completed the podium in this 43rd edition of the Rallye du Quercy.
Romain Auvert and his Renault Clio RS Line finished fourth in the overall standings of the 2026 edition, just ahead of Michael Lobry, content with his fifth place. “Driving my Renault Clio IV Maxi two-wheel drive, I finished a good fifth, just four tenths behind fourth place. The car performed very well. I am very happy with my weekend, we had a lot of fun.”
