On Sunday, April 12, many personalities ran the Paris Marathon. From Laure Manaudou to Juan Arbelaez and Gautier Capuçon – check out their times! It was impossible to miss this past Sunday, April 12 when the Paris Marathon took place. Italian Yemaneberhan Crippa won this edition in 2 hours and 5 minutes. On the women’s side, Ethiopian Shure Demise set a record by running the capital’s streets in 2 hours and 18 minutes. Many personalities also took up this athletic challenge. 44-year-old Gautier Capuçon reportedly covered the 42.195 kilometers in 3 hours and 35 minutes. Meanwhile, Laure Manaudou completed her first marathon in just 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 44 seconds. She ran at an average speed of 9.35 km/h, placing her 38,924th out of 52,724 overall and 9,673rd out of 15,591 among female runners. Diane Leyre was also spotted running in the capital. The 28-year-old young woman completed the 42 kilometers in 4 hours and 42 minutes, with an average speed of 8.97 km/h. In the overall ranking, she placed 43,287th out of 57,428 finishers. On Instagram, the beauty queen shared her pride emotionally: “It’s official, I’m a marathoner. I can’t believe it. Marathoner in 4 hours and 42. I’ll tell you more soon, but right now I need to process what just happened.” Juan Arbelaez, who recently became a father, also participated in the Paris Marathon, clocking in at 4 hours and 9 minutes, at a pace of 5 minutes and 55 seconds per kilometer. Youtube personality Michou completed the 42 kilometers in 4 hours and 47 minutes, at a pace of 6 minutes and 48 seconds per kilometer. Additionally, Dominique de Villepin’s son, Arthur, achieved a great feat by finishing the Paris Marathon in 3 hours and 12 minutes, as shared on his Instagram account with a lovely black and white photo of him posing in front of the Arc de Triomphe. This passion is shared by father and son. While the former Prime Minister no longer runs marathons, he has participated in many throughout his life. “My first marathon, I believe it was the Paris Marathon in 1980. I was at the ENA. I must have been 24 years old,” he recalled in 2010 with Jogging Magazine.
