The bureau of the association for the animation of the Martigues museum, known as Les Amis du Musée Ziem, welcomed eight new faces in early April, among the 22 new members who joined the association. The total membership for 2026 stands at 170 members. This friendly way of welcoming new members highlights the spirit of this organization founded in 1987 and still driven by the same passion.
“We are a cultural association and a school of art, affiliated with the French Federation of Friends of Museums. The objective is simple: to allow everyone to enrich themselves through shared visits, conferences, and cultural trips,” explained their president, Yoland Pauleau, with a smile, adding, “But beware, we are not a travel agency!”
Here, culture is shared above all else. The conferences organized throughout the year, usually held at the Town Hall, are open to the public free of charge. “It is essential for us to spread the knowledge of art to as many people as possible,” emphasized the president.
“Each person contributes what they can, according to their desires and abilities.”
