The CAC Sud 22 held its general assembly at the MFR de Loudéac this Saturday, March 28th. Right from the start, the president Anita Rouault emphasized that the association, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, “has known how to maintain itself over the years, evolve and continue to do so.”
“In the areas of the Breton language, theater, heritage, associative life, media, and youth,” she added, “with its five employees and a multitude of volunteers, the CAC Sud has continuously developed its skills, supported more associations, reached out to new audiences, and collaborated with other local structures. The challenge for 2026 is not only to maintain what works but also to organize the future. Having found our place, we need to know what to do with it.”
“Youth, a priority!” Each department presented its achievements for 2025 and projects for 2026. Members were impressed by the strong presence of CAC Sud 22 in the field. In the fields of heritage, theater, mentoring, and associative life, the CAC Sud 22 is engaged with all audiences, making efforts to reach out to the youth, “who have been reached through the creation of podcasts in particular.” Financially, the association notes that it is becoming less dependent on subsidies, “thanks to both memberships and increased billed services.”
Béatrice Boulanger, departmental councilor, highlighted the dynamism of the structure and confirmed the financial support from the Department. Kaourintine Hulaud, vice-president of the Region for Breton languages, praised everyone’s work, saying, “You are a family that brings together employees and volunteers, led by a dynamic, passionate president who takes you along in her wake.” She also mentioned that the Region continues to support associations in the areas of languages and culture.
Note: CAC Sud 22 will celebrate its 40th anniversary on May 1st and 2nd at the municipal hall in Loudéac with workshops, exhibitions, and activities. The event is free and open to all.
