In the framework of Kiddy’Saône, and for the second consecutive year, the town of Auxonne and the school of music and arts of the community of communes Auxonne-Pontailler-Val de Saône jointly offer a day dedicated to “street” culture, in order to open urban culture to as many people as possible, especially to young audiences.

On Saturday afternoon, April 4th, the esplanade of the Empire complex in Auxonne will host the players from the Union Sportive (US) Villers-Jura Dolois for demonstrations with professional freestylers and a freestyle football workshop. “This year, the recurring theme is soccer, and specifically women’s soccer,” explains Fabrice Blaise, in charge of cultural programming for the town.

A beatboxer and a graffiti artist present In addition to sports, the highlight of the afternoon will be the breakdance battle with the school of music and art of the CAP Val de Saône facing off against other schools or associations in hip-hop dances, as well as the HDMI Team from Dijon. “There will also be beatbox workshops with Noun beatbox, who is the vice-champion of France 2025 in this discipline,” he continues. But what is beatbox? “It is a musical practice consisting of producing sounds with the mouth, similar to those of musical instruments,” explains Fabrice Blaise.

Young graffiti artists will also be able to learn on a wall with the graffiti artist Laurie Silvert, also known as Kawa, who was already present at the previous edition.

The afternoon will end at 5:30 pm at the Empire cinema with the screening of the film “Marinette,” which retraces the life of Marinette Pichon, the first professional female footballer in France.

Practical Information: On Saturday, April 4th, from 2 to 5 pm, followed by the film “Marinette.” At the esplanade of the Empire cinema and in the Empire room. Open to all. Free admission, with refreshments and drinks available on site.
