According to the latest hardware survey on Steam, reds are regaining color in the processor and graphics card market. Indeed, in the graphics card sector, after NVIDIA peaked at 84.7% last February, the chameleon lost shares to settle at 72.8%. The drop is significant and mainly benefits AMD, which goes from 10.6% to 18.5%, while Intel also nibbles a few shares, going from 4.5% to 8.2%.

But this only changes as the most used graphics card on the Valve platform remains the RTX 3060 followed by the RTX 4060laptop. Both cards peak at 4.10% and 4.04% respectively while the RTX 4060desktop displays 3.92% shares. On the AMD side, the first most used remains the RX 7800 XT with 1.17% (+0.45%). Otherwise, we find “AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics” at 2.40% followed by “AMD Radeon Graphics” at 1.91% shares. This month, the RTX 5070 has a 2.87% share compared to 9.42% last month.

As for the partCPUAMD continues to progress after a poor performance where the reds lost ground against the blues. This time, the company takes +1.22% of shares to settle at 44.17% while the blues are at 55.82%, still in the majority, but the gap is narrowing between the two companies.

Again, the most popular models are the CPU equipped with six hearts which represent 27.77%, but this percentage is decreasing. Indeed, the modelsquad-core showed the strongest growth this month with a +5.37% share in March. They represent 13.59% of CPU installed running on Steam.
