Girls Wrestler of the Year

Marlee Solomon

Canon-McMillan, jr., 118 pounds

2025-26 record: 38-0 Career record: 78-3

Canon-McMillan’s Marlee Solomon won her second consecutive PIAA and WPIAL titles this season.

She dominated all four of her opponents in the 118-pound weight class at Hershey, including a 16-1 win over Shippensburg’s Olivia Kearns.

All four wins at the state tournament were by technical fall as she outscored opponents 67-3.

She finished the season with 14 pins, 22 technical falls, a major decision win and one decision, winning 9-2 against Mackenzie Carder of Olentangy Orange, Ohio.

For her total dominance during the season, Solomon was selected the Trib’s Girls Wrestler of the Year.

She edged Mt. Lebanon freshman Isla Silva, a PIAA and WPIAL champion at 112 pounds.

First team all-stars

Maggie Alfera

Laurel, sr., 136 pounds

2025-26 record: 36-4 Career record: 72-9

The Pitt-Johnstown commit earned her second PIAA medal by placing fourth. She was third in 2025. She was the WPIAL and PIAA West Regional champion. She had 47 career pins.

Giada Campanella

Pine-Richland, jr., 148 pounds

2025-26 record: 26-15 Career record: 66-35

Campanella placed fourth in the state and finished with 26 pins, which represented all of her wins.

Jenna Chapman

Albert Gallatin, so., 235 pounds

2025-26 record: 22-8 Career record: 38-17

The sophomore was a WPIAL and PIAA West Regional runner-up. She earned a fourth-place medal at the state tournament. She has 34 career pins.

Alaina Claassen

Plum, sr., 190 pounds

2025-26 record: 31-3 Career record: 100-14

The Washington & Jefferson commit is a three-time WPIAL champion and two-time PIAA medalist. She was the West Regional runner-up but did not compete in the PIAA tournament. She finished with 82 career pins.

Ava Golding

Kiski Area, sr., 142 pounds

2025-26 record: 34-2 Career record: 104-10

The Pitt-Johnstown commit is a three-time WPIAL champion. The PIAA runner-up finished with 69 career pins and was a winner at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic.

Camilla Hathaway

Mt. Lebanon, fr., 155 pounds

2025-26 record: 38-4

The freshman placed third in the state after winning the WPIAL 155-pound title. She had 29 pins.

Paige Jox

Mt. Lebanon, sr., 148 pounds

2025-26 record: 36-7 Career record: 106-28

The Washington & Jefferson commit who won a WPIAL title and placed third in the state finished her high school career with a win in the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic. She had 49 career pins.

Blythe Letters

Shaler, so., 106 pounds

2025-26 record: 35-5 Career: 59-11

The sophomore was a WPIAL runner-up, won the PIAA West Regional and ended up third in the PIAA. She has 35 career pins.

Zoey Murphy

Southmoreland, sr., 235 pounds

2025-26 record: 26-3 Career record: 76-21

Murphy is a two-time PIAA runner-up, three-time WPIAL finalist and two-time WPIAL champion. She has 44 career pins and is also an outstanding softball player.

Silva Island

Mt. Lebanon, fr., 112 pounds

2025-26 record: 31-3

The freshman won her final 11 matches of the season, defeating Conneaut Area’s Daylee Watson, 6-1, in the state finals. She had 22 pins en route to WPIAL and PIAA titles.

Haley Smarsh

Moon, jr., 130 pounds

2025-26 record: 41-3 Career record: 97-13

She concluded her junior season by winning her first PIAA title at 130 pounds. She is a three-time WPIAL winner, including this season. She has 82 career pins.

Aariona Strader

Pine-Richland, so., 124 pounds

2025-26 record: 31-4 Career record: 59-15

Strader was upset in the PIAA finals at 124 pounds by Garnet Valley’s Neve O’Byrne. The WPIAL champion has 31 career pins.

Kristen Walzer

Montour, sr., 100 pounds

2025-26 record: 12-1 (girls), 24-10 (boys) Career record: 34-14 (girls), 62-45 (boys)

She earned her third PIAA medal by finishing third. She won two WPIAL titles and competed for Pennsylvania in the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic. She will attend Pitt-Johnstown.

Audrey Calgaro, Canon-McMillan, sr., 170 pounds, 2025-26 record: 32-14; Career record: 90-29.

Karsyn Champion, Norwin, jr., 155 pounds, 2025-26 record: 38-11; Career record: 103-32.

Saphia Davis, Plum, sr., 100 pounds, 2025-26 record: 32-9; Career record: 95-28.

Abigail Dolanch, Avella, jr., 136 pounds 2025-26 record: 34-6; Career record: 98-19.

Anna Duncan, South Park, jr. 124 pounds, 2025-26 record: 33-9; Career record: 71-19.

Liliana Giulianelli, Peters Township, jr., 190 pounds 2025-26 record: 35-11; Career record: 76-32.

Katie KeeseckerDerry, so., 118 pounds, 2025-26 record: 29-12; Career record: 33-15.

Sydney Laboon, Upper St. Clair, fr., 130 pounds, 2025-26 record: 36-11.

Grace Nasman, Upper St. Clair, so., 142 pounds, 2025-26 record: 33-10; Career record: 64-19.
