In early February, Krafton’s top-down tactical 5v5, Blindspot PUBG, will go no further. End of the game announced for March 30, 2026, with immediate withdrawal from Steam.

ARC Team confirms the decision to remove PUBG: Blindspot, a F2P early access game, with services closing on March 30, 2026. The title has already been delisted from Steam; players no longer have access.

The studio explains that they can no longer “sustainably provide the level of experience” envisioned in Early Access despite post-feedback iterations. On Steam, the game had a 72% positive rating, but low activity numbers: a historical peak of 3,251 simultaneous players and 236 in the last 24 hours at the time of writing, according to SteamDB.

The release took place in early February, under the Krafton banner, with a tactical 5v5 positioning from the top-down view. The trajectory aligns with other recent shutdowns, including Highguard, and projects halted during Ubisoft’s recent focus. Riot also downsized its fighting game team for sustainability reasons.

The pattern is clear: without immediate traction and solid retention, F2P monetization struggles to cover rising live ops costs. Even with a decent rating, a peak of 3,251 and an active player base below a thousand do not ensure sustainability, especially against established competitors with better recurring content offerings.
