On March 11, 2026 at 17:15, DL GAMING updated to introduce new anniversary events across Rondo, improvements to Vikendi, and a special soundtrack collaboration.

KRAFTON, Inc. announced a major celebration for the 9th anniversary of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, including a new in-game update, anniversary-themed events, and a special musical collaboration with international artist ALLDAY PROJECT.

Launched in early access on Steam on March 23, 2017, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS helped define the battle royale genre and reached a peak of 3.25 million simultaneous players. Nine years later, the game continues to evolve with new content and events for its global community.

Anniversary events across all battlegrounds

To mark this anniversary, the battlegrounds transform into a vibrant festival celebrating the game and its community. A special 9th-anniversary statue appears on the starting island, where players can interact before the match begins. By successfully throwing nine holographic incapacitating grenades, the statue transforms to resemble the player’s character.

Players joining during the event will also receive the Event Pass: All Day Party, offering missions and rewards including themed cosmetics, emotes, G-Coin, and BP.

The festivities continue across the entire Rondo map, with birthday-themed shops, billboards, and other surprises appearing along the way. Players may encounter Chicken Man, a special character rewarding players with Lucky Eggs containing items like weapons, level 3 equipment, or a special 9th-anniversary Ghillie Suit.

Thematic supply crates and new environmental elements, including commemorative drone displays, have also been added across all battlegrounds.

Update 40.2 brings improvements to maps and modes

The anniversary celebration coincides with update 40.2, which brings enhancements to various aspects of the game.

On the Vikendi map, item reserves in secret rooms have been expanded to include additional tactical gear, while some locked doors have been replaced with standard doors to improve accessibility during matches.

Arcade modes have also been adjusted. Team Deathmatch now offers map selection probabilities tailored to player preferences, and Intense Battle Royale receives updated crate content to enhance combat pace.

On PC, the UGC alpha has been enriched with a new Creator Information feature, allowing creators to define mode details such as name, creator attribution, and the addition of new Subzero items.

A musical collaboration to celebrate nine years of PUBG

As part of this anniversary celebration, KRAFTON also released a special title and video clip in collaboration with the international artist ALLDAY PROJECT.

The title, “I DON’T BARGAIN,” captures the competitive spirit and survival instinct that has defined PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS for over a decade. The video showcases dynamic performances by ALLDAY PROJECT in cinematic combat sequences on the battlegrounds.

The video concludes with one of PUBG’s most iconic symbols, the level 3 helmet, filled with birthday messages from fans worldwide, celebrating the international community that has developed around the game over the past nine years.
