As a leading research institute specialized in social and human sciences within the armed forces, the Party Committee and the leadership of the Military Institute of Social and Human Sciences have always considered scientific research as an essential political mission. In 2025, the Institute will conduct research on 38 scientific projects at different levels (national, ministerial, General Political Department, academy, etc.), all of which have been successful.

Colonel and Dr. Bui Thanh Cao, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Military Institute of Social and Human Sciences, shared his experience in scientific research. Colonel, professor, and Dr. Trinh Xuan Viet, Director of the Military Institute of Social and Human Sciences, stated that with a deep understanding of the Party’s resolutions and directives, the Institute has successfully fulfilled its missions in all aspects of work, swiftly overcoming obstacles.

To enhance the level of “experts,” the Party Committee and the Institute’s leadership have effectively implemented a plan to cultivate talents, provide training for research personnel in both short and long terms, and encourage staff to aim for professorship and associate professorship titles. They have also participated in scientific conferences, research projects, programs, and activities on various subjects with organizations and units within and outside the military. This focus has led to the development of high-quality research capabilities among young staff members.

In implementing the “specialized” approach, the Party Committee and the Institute’s leadership have successfully identified research issues and themes aligned with the functions and missions of each department, specialization, and individual. They have promoted and improved the quality and effectiveness of collaborative research activities, as well as innovation in the management and operation of scientific research.

Furthermore, the Party Committee and the Institute’s leadership have emphasized training and awareness about the importance of the “three specializations” in carrying out scientific research missions. They have set clear goals, roadmaps, and implementation solutions. The Party Committee has instructed its members to follow, evaluate, and analyze the implementation of the “three specializations” to provide advice and propose solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles, ensuring necessary resources, time, and working conditions for research personnel.

Colonel Dr. Bui Thanh Cao, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Military Academy of Social and Human Sciences, mentioned that the Academy actively builds a democratic and creative research environment, promotes the use of information technologies and digital transformation in research activities, and develops mechanisms and appropriate reward policies to motivate and encourage innovative ideas. This contributes to improving the overall quality of the Academy’s mission.
