The end of an era. On March 25th, Loana Petrucciani was found lifeless at her home, at the age of 48. The autopsy results, made public on March 31, indicate that the winner of Loft Story 1 may have died from a “backwards fall” at her home: a theory supported by the doctors’ findings highlighting “a superficial scalp wound compatible with a fall from body height to the ground” as well as “small bruises on the back, lumbar region, and buttocks consistent with the hypothesis of a fall to the ground,” as reported by L’Internaute.

On Friday, April 10, 2026, the funeral of the first French reality TV star Loana took place in Nice. Several public figures attended to pay their final respects to the late star, along with fans saddened by Loana’s tragic fate. The ceremony ended in a slight panic…

Loana’s Funeral: Ceremony Disrupted by Loud Sounds and Crowd Commotion

According to Le Figaro TV, “a loud bang” disrupted the crowd’s solemnity towards the end of the ceremony, around noon. As a procession was organized at the exit of the Christian place of worship, revealing the entirely pink coffin of the star and a large portrait of her, these explosion noises reportedly unsettled the crowd. Impatience followed: “This time, the crowd is angry. Journalists and their cameras prevent them from seeing the coffin clearly,” our colleagues reported, citing Loana’s fans directly confronting journalists on site: “Loana, we want to see you one last time! Journalists, get out of here! Leave, you vultures!” they allegedly shouted at the press before “calming down when the view cleared.”

Who Attended Loana’s Funeral?

Contrary to initial announcements, Loana’s daughter Mindy and her granddaughter Maelysse were not present at the ceremony. However, her mother Violette was there, accompanied by her brother Gérald, with whom she led the procession. Some of her former TV collaborators were also present to bid a final farewell to Loana. While iconic figures from Loft Story like Jean-Edouard Lipa and Kenza were absent, other reality TV stars like Steevy Boulay, Christophe, Julie Mercy, along with the show’s producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert, and former host Benjamin Castaldi, were in attendance at Nice. Nonetheless, close ones of the deceased lamented the absence of public figures who made headlines in Loana’s death. The ceremony was accompanied by its share of controversies.
