The annual survey of the team shows the financial dominance of the European champion who clearly leads all rankings.

The team has published its annual survey on the salaries of Ligue 1 this Thursday. Unsurprisingly, PSG is way ahead in all categories. With the top 10 highest-paid players in the French championship (Ousmane Dembélé being number 1 with an estimated monthly gross salary of 1,500,000 euros, followed by Marquinhos with 1,120,000 euros, Achraf Hakimi and Lucas Hernandez with 1,100,000 euros, Warren Zaire-Emery with 950,000 euros, Vintinha, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Joao Neves with 900,000 euros, Nuno Mendes and Willian Pacho with 800,000 euros). And 16 players in the Top 20 (only the players from OM Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Mason Greenwood, and Geoffrey Kondogbia and Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso managing to secure a spot).

PSG also has the highest-paid coach, Luis Enrique (estimated monthly gross of 1 million euros). Far ahead of OL coach Paulo Fonseca (350,000 euros) and Habib Beye (newcomer on the OM bench with 230,000 euros). The team reveals that the three-year contract extension of the Spanish coach, currently under discussion, could allow him (with 20 million euros gross per year) to be in the Top 5 highest-paid coaches in the world along with Diego Simeone (Atlético de Madrid; 29.8M), Simone Inzaghi (Al-Hilal; 25.1M), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City; 23.8M), and Mikel Arteta (Arsenal; 17.9M).

At PSG, the average net monthly salary is estimated by the team at 650,000 euros (compared to Marseille with 300,000 euros; 140,000 Monaco; and 18,000 Angers, the smallest budget in Ligue 1).

Lens, the magnificent runner-up to PSG, ranks 10th in terms of the average gross salary of Ligue 1 (80,000 euros), with Florent Thauvin (estimated monthly gross of 200,000 euros) at the top of the list.

Regarding Paris FC which aims to quickly establish itself among the top clubs, the average gross monthly salary is estimated at 84,000 euros (with Ciro Immobile’s estimated gross monthly salary being 250,000 euros).

“There is an increasingly significant standard deviation. On one side, you have the clubs competing in European competitions, and then the others. Marseille, despite the hiccup against Brugge, still recovers around fifty million euros. Strasbourg, in the Europa Conference League, earns over 12M. And for the others, the difference between a Ligue 1 club and a Ligue 2 club will become increasingly narrow,” observed Vincent Chaudel, founder of the Sports Business Observatory.
