For the fifteenth time in its history, OL Lyonnes has reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, following their comprehensive victory Thursday night against Wolfsburg (4-0 a.p.).

A relief, after the defeat in the first leg in Germany (0-1), but a qualification far from consequence-free. The Fenottes’ schedule has been disrupted.

Their Champions League semi-final, scheduled against Arsenal on the weekend of April 25 and 26, clashes with the penultimate day of the Première Ligue. A clash that forces a rethink of plans.

In Nantes on April 29

It is impossible, indeed, for OL Lyonnes to be in both London and Nantes at the same time. The postponement of the match is therefore necessary, with a possible rescheduling on Wednesday, April 29, according to L’Equipe.

Not an ideal choice, as it would only be three or four days before the second leg of the semi-final, scheduled for May 2 or 3 in Décines (coinciding with Lyon – Rennes in Ligue 1!). But already assured of finishing at the top of the regular season, the Lyonnaises will be able to rotate and give playing time to the youngsters from the academy.
