The three schools of Marsan, Lussan, and Aubiet came together once again for a day of math and sports. From the morning, students from preschool to fifth grade, divided by class, participated in various age-appropriate math workshops. On the side of cycle 1, at the Marsan school, the youngest took their first steps into the world of chess with the intervention of Thomas Ducret in one of the workshops. This morning was marked by sports, concentration, logic, but above all the joy of learning together. Students from cycles 2 and 3 explored several activities combining reflection and manipulation: a first workshop led by Laure Morlan, educational counselor, offered a variety of math games; a second workshop led by Gilles Verardo, departmental educational counselor, allowed students to familiarize themselves with computer programming in a concrete and motivating way. Three other workshops (math rally, math walk in Aubiet, and sports challenges) enabled students to observe, measure, count, and reason in a different way, while cooperating. Beyond the learning, this meeting was above all an opportunity for students to get to know each other better and share a day fully involved in the preparation dynamics of the future inter-municipal educational grouping (RPI).
