Buildings destroyed after new strikes. In Tyr, in southern Lebanon, the Israeli army claimed to have targeted three buildings that it had ordered to be evacuated. Bombardments occurred, while two previous raids took place on Friday, April 3, in this city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At least two strikes hit buildings near a hospital, which was also damaged. In total, around ten injured, including three rescuers. According to the health facility, false ceilings collapsed while doctors were providing care.
Strikes also took place twice in the southern suburb of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold. The Israeli army said it had struck command centers of the Lebanese section of the Al-Quds Force. It also bombed a bridge in the east of the country again, after a warning issued on Friday night.
So, what strategy for Israel? According to authorities, these strikes on logistical routes are aimed at preventing the transfer of reinforcements and weapons to Hezbollah. The general intention is to weaken the military capabilities of the Islamist movement, especially its weapon stocks and command centers. The Israeli army announced the death of one of its soldiers in combat on Friday in southern Lebanon, after clashes with Hezbollah.
