PHOENIX — Two candidates in the race for Superintendent of Public Instruction in Arizona are facing off on the debate stage on May 14. 

State Treasurer Kimberly Yee and incumbent Tom Horne are competing for the Republican nomination.

Political newcomers Brett Newby and Teresa Leyba Ruiz took part in the Democratic debate on May 13.

The debate, hosted by Clean Elections, will be held on May 14 at 6 p.m. 

Voters can submit questions by emailing debates@azcleanelections.gov or by calling 602-364-3477 (toll-free at 877-631-8891).
