Four wrestlers competing for the title. On Saturday, March 28th at 7:30 pm, the François-de-Curel hall in Joeuf will be set ablaze for an international gala organized by the National Wrestling League (LNC). During the evening, one of the four fighters will receive the Lorraine championship belt, a title that hasn’t been awarded in Joeuf since 2013 and Redji Ray’s victory. The four contenders have never tasted this success before, nor even come close to this title. To make a name for themselves, they must first win a semi-final before moving on to the most prestigious fight. Each wrestler must showcase their qualities. Nathan Amann, “the tallest athlete at 2.05 m and the heaviest at 118 kg,” explains Sonia Schmitt, the league’s president. Super Boy, 1.88 m tall and weighing 114 kg, in his blue and red costume, will rely on his speed and strength to neutralize his opponents. The third wrestler is shorter but “more experienced thanks to his sixteen years of wrestling,” warns the president. He is Jimmy the North Basher. The last wrestler is thinner, faster: “He’s the one who flies the most,” according to his name, Aramis, the acrobatic Musketeer.

Food area and shop

Each wrestler will be drawn to determine their opponent in the semi-final. Then, they will need to show extreme mental strength to go after the prize. “The fights have no time limit, so the wrestlers will have to demonstrate endurance by going all out with their physical abilities.” During the evening, a mixed doubles fight will also take place. On-site, the organization will be precise: the 400 visitors can enjoy a bar and a food area. A shop offering posters, t-shirts, and frames will be set up. Sonia Schmitt, president of the LNC, will provide commentary for the event and expects to see a full and electrifying arena.
