The Bergerac Perigord Football Club has been selected to participate in the “Gothia Special Olympics Trophy” this summer in Gothenburg, Sweden. This event is one of the biggest global gatherings for inclusive football, providing a unique experience for ten young players. The selection is a result of the club’s strong commitment to promoting sports for all.

From July 11 to 17, 2026, ten players from BPFC, aged 16 to 25, will represent France at the renowned Gothia Cup tournament. This tournament, part of the Gothia Cup, is considered the largest international youth football competition, attracting teams from dozens of countries each year. It offers young people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to engage in an international sports experience, emphasizing inclusion and sharing values.
