Amid efforts to build a modern and professional digital diplomacy, the Ministry has been synchronously implementing digital transformation in line with government policies and directives, focusing on the unification of understanding and approach to digital transformation at all levels.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung emphasized the importance of following the digital architecture framework, prioritizing data development, digital technology application for improved services, cybersecurity, and human resources training in the digital realm.

The Ministry’s digital transformation efforts have shown positive results, particularly in streamlining administrative procedures, improving infrastructure, data management, and enhancing the cybersecurity measures for information systems handling sensitive data.

Despite progress, challenges such as limited financial resources, lack of standardized data, and the need for better system interoperability persist. Future strategies will concentrate on developing specialized databases, enhancing information security, and improving the digital transformation index to align with administrative reforms.
