Discover the program and stakes of the 20th day of Arkema Première Ligue whose matches take place this Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
As the Arkema Première Ligue 2025-2026 comes to an end, the fight remains fierce both for access to the playoffs and for the relegation battle, where several teams are determined to have their say.
Dijon will go all out
While OL Lyon leads with 53 points, ahead of the two Parisian clubs, Paris FC (39 points) and Paris Saint-Germain (38 points), Dijon FCO (5th, 30 points) still hopes to clinch their ticket for the playoffs.
But the Dijonnaises will have to catch up to FC Nantes (4th, 36 points), with an existing gap of six points with three matches remaining. Their Wednesday match on the field of the Lyon leader could seal their fate in case of a negative result, or on the contrary maintain pressure on Nantes, who will head to southern France to face Olympique de Marseille, engaged in the relegation battle. Depending on the results of Dijon and Nantes, the four qualifying teams for the playoffs could already be known.
Survive at all costs
At the bottom of the standings, the fight is clearly tighter: five teams are still engaged in the battle for survival. Le Havre AC (8th, 17 points) can make a good option at home by beating RC Lens (11th, 12 points), who is the first relegation team. The Lensoises will have to fight hard to hope to stay three matches before the end.
This is also the case for Montpellier HSC (12th, 12 points), who will host Paris FC, almost officially qualified for the playoffs. The same situation for AS Saint-Étienne (10th, 12 points), who will travel to Paris Saint-Germain, also in a good position to validate their ticket for the playoffs.
Finally, Olympique de Marseille (9th, 16 points) intends to maintain its four-point lead over the relegation zone, but the Marseille will have to fight against FC Nantes, who are not willing to give up precious points in this final sprint, for fear of being overtaken by Dijon FCO in the final straight.
