Renault has revealed to Le Figaro the details of their collaboration with the giant Japanese gaming company Sony PlayStation in the world of car racing. It is an applaudable success among players. It is now possible to see a Twingo rolling on the Le Mans circuit among real racing cars in the video game Gran Turismo 7, available on PlayStation. The Gran Turismo franchise, developed by Sony, has been offering free updates almost every month for four years since the release of the seventh installment. These updates unlock new tracks and cars, with the latest one released on April 23 featuring one of the most famous French compact cars, much to the delight of players.
In an effort towards openness, Renault has allowed the integration of their vehicles in Gran Turismo, while maintaining the right to refuse. The Japanese publisher informed the French automaker of this good news. “In January, Sony informed us that the Twingo was chosen to be in Gran Turismo 7. After giving our approval, everything was managed by the GT7 franchise,” Laurent Aliphat explained.
