In Marne, poetry enthusiasts, increasingly numerous, are invited to an evening filled with prose, rhymes, and other verses on Friday, April 17. The Barbara hall of the association, Espace Loisir Culture de Montmirail, is organizing a free poetry evening for the second time.

An Open Stage

The first part of the evening will be dedicated to poets and singers who have come for the occasion. The famous French poet Arthur Rimbaud will be among the highlighted artists during this moment of sharing. The second part of the evening will be organized as an open stage, inviting lovers of classics, modern poetry, Slam, and songwriters to express themselves in a welcoming environment. “You can listen, participate, applaud, and even laugh for free,” adds the communication service of ELC.

Just like during the first poetry evening on January 16, author Jean-Louis Vallois will once again animate the event. Known for his poetry and historical detective novels set in Montmirail, Jean-Louis Vallois has recently released a new novel titled Keena, le velo et les photos. A sort of autobiographical fiction for which he was signing copies this February.
