As part of the traveling cinema programming, two highlights are offered around the theme of families in exile, to outline an alternative history of Iran. On Monday, May 4, at 6 pm, the film “Chronicles of Tehran” will be screened, directed in 2023 by Ali Asgari and Alireza Khatami. It tells the stories of nine women and men who struggle to have their rights recognized in their country.

At 8 pm, a second screening will feature the animated film “Taboo Tehran” by Ali Zandeh, which follows the daily life of a young mother navigating an environment marked by social contradictions and religious taboos. On Saturday, May 9, at 5 pm, a discussion meeting will be organized with Ahamd Asgari, a political refugee and union activist, as well as the broadcasting of a message from Hossein Dowlatabadi, a political refugee and writer.

At 8 pm, “My stolen planet” directed in 2024 by Farahnaz Sharifi will be screened. Through the eyes of young Farah, born during the Iranian Islamic revolution, the film depicts an existence shared between the regime and her inner freedom.
