GRANT-VALKARIA, Fla. — The FBI Tampa Field Office is asking for help locating a truck driver who disappeared from a rest stop in Brevard County earlier this month.

Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez, 41, was driving multiple vehicles south to Miami from the Port of Brunswick in Georgia on April 16, investigators say.

What You Need To Know

  • FBI investigators are searching for 41-year-old Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez
  • Gonzalez is a truck driver who was last seen at a rest stop along I-95 in Brevard County on April 17
  • Investigators found Gonzalez’s truck in Georgia, but he said he is still missing
  • Anyone with information, photos or videos is asked to contact the FBI or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate

Investigators say Gonzalez arrived at the Brevard County rest area in Grant-Valkaria along Interstate 95 South around 1:21 a.m. ET on April 17, where he rested for several hours. Just before 8 a.m. ET that same day, the GPS from Gonzalez’s truck showed he was driving north toward Jacksonville, investigators say. At that point, they said Gonzalez was unreachable and he and the truck were reported missing.

Later that day, Gonzalez’s truck was found in Port Wentworth, Ga. However, he was not in it, and investigators say several vehicles were missing from the hauler. Since then, three of those vehicles have been found in Florida, while others are still missing.

Gonzalez is described as a 5-foot-11-inch man, bald with a brown beard and mustache, a tattoo sleeve on his left arm and and two tattoos on his right arm. He was born in Cuba.

The FBI is asking for photos and video from any people located in or around the Brevard County rest area in Grant-Valkaria between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. on April 17. They can be submitted through an FBI form for the case online.

Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact the FBI’s toll-free tipline at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), their local FBI office, the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or an FBI online tip form.
