Ascension returns to PUBG Battlegrounds
Ascension is making a comeback with a new edition on PUBG Battlegrounds, promising fierce competition and an explosive finale at TwitchCon Rotterdam. The tournament, focused on the Duo FPP (First-Person Perspective) mode, offers players an opportunity to compete against each other and secure a coveted spot in the grand finale. The event aims to establish itself as a pillar of the European PUBG competitive scene, filling a gap left by the scarcity of large-scale community tournaments.
The tournament is structured in several qualifying phases. Two online qualifiers, open to all, will select 28 duos for the final. The remaining two slots will be allocated during wildcards, one in Montpellier on May 2 and the other in Rotterdam on May 30, just before the finale. In total, 30 duos will battle it out on stage at TwitchCon Rotterdam.
Registrations are open on ascensionpubg.gg, where participants can review the full regulations and tournament details (https://asc-tn.gg/inscriptions). The official schedule is as follows: Qualifier 1 on April 3 and 4, Qualifier 2 on April 11 and 12, Wildcard Montpellier on May 2, Wildcard Rotterdam on May 30 (morning), and Grand finale on May 30 (afternoon) at TwitchCon Rotterdam.
A prize pool of 110,000€ funded by the community
Ascension stands out for its participatory model. Previous editions have garnered over 16 million views, attracted thousands of participants, and distributed over 180,000 € in cash prizes, entirely funded by the community. This year, the total prize pool amounts to 110,000 €, distributed as follows: 100,000 € for the grand finale, 5,000 € for Qualifier #1, and 5,000 € for Qualifier #2. This participatory funding model remains at the heart of the tournament’s identity, highlighting the community’s engagement and support.

The event will feature a renowned casting, with ZeratoR, a key figure in French streaming, providing commentary in French. International coverage in English, led by Anglophone casters, will allow a global audience to follow the competition. This extensive coverage reflects Ascension’s ambition to shine beyond French borders and attract an international audience.
