On May 1st, the residents of Vallabrègues and their close neighbors decided to dedicate the day to sustainable mobility by taking a bike tour around the village in a festive atmosphere. This initiative was organized by the environmental association of Vallabrègues, with support from local associations like Gard’O’Vélo. Participants, whether casual Sunday cyclists or more seasoned riders, showcased their decorated bikes in front of a local bar, where distinguished judges crowned the most original one. The group continued their journey to the flower market of Saint-Pierre-de-Mézoargues, spreading the message of sustainable mobility through friendly interactions.
The residents of Vallabrègues took action to defend an important cause that is close to their hearts – environmental preservation. By choosing the first day of the May Bike Action, they made a bold statement in support of their beliefs. Through this springtime mobilization, members of the environmental association and their allies expressed their demands for increased accessibility and development of sustainable mobility networks. While the celebration was at the forefront on Friday, the association emphasized that each individual has the opportunity to promote sustainable mobility in their daily lives by embracing it and contributing to its popularity.
