Panini-Panne: DFB-Elf ohne Baumann und Undav zur WM The injured Serge Gnabry and Marc-André ter Stegen are part of the German offering in the Panini World Cup sticker album. However, some well-known national team players are missing in the collection that Panini announced at the start of sales, including the expected starting goalkeeper Oliver Baumann.
Gnabry, an offensive player, had to cancel his participation in the World Cup due to a thigh injury in April. Goalkeeper ter Stegen is waiting to return after an operation. According to Panini, the album will be gradually available in Germany starting from May 8th. The sticker page for the German national team includes not only Gnabry and ter Stegen but also other players like Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, and Florian Wirtz. Experienced players like Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sané are also present, but along with Baumann, the recently strong striker Deniz Undav is missing as well. Panini explained that the reason for this somewhat unusual selection is the deadline for the squads of the 42 teams that qualified early on January 12th.
Unlike the final World Cup squad, which will have 26 players, there is space for only 18 players on the German national team’s double page in the Panini album. Coach Julian Nagelsmann has announced his preliminary squad nomination for May 21st. He must submit his final squad for the World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico to FIFA by June 1st.

Bericht: Riera-Rauswurf beschlossen – Eintracht hat schon Trainer-Liste According to Sky, Eintracht Frankfurt is planning to part ways with coach Albert Riera after only four months in the position. The club is working on a cost-effective solution to get rid of the controversial Spaniard after the end of the season. Although an immediate dismissal is unlikely even in case of further sporting setbacks, it is considered the last resort internally. Eintracht is already planning for Riera’s replacement.
According to Sky, Eintracht has four coaches in mind, but only one is mentioned in the report: former Bundesliga player Matthias Jaissle, who currently coaches the Saudi club Al-Ahli. Riera remained calm during the press conference before the game in Dortmund, stating, “I am not worried. The discussion about me before the Dortmund match is not a top priority. What’s important is for the team to get points in these two games. That’s it. I am not worried about that. I know exactly how this profession works.”
