The #PlayGalaxy Cup is a global tournament league showcasing the gaming performance of Galaxy devices. In 2026, the competition evolves into an international league played throughout the year, organized in collaboration with PUBG Mobile. This new format replaces one-off events with a full season.

The Global Open served as an exhibition match to celebrate the launch of the league. Sunny, CouRage, NiceWigg and Octane, members of the North American gaming organization 100 Thieves, faced members of the OfflineTV collective: TinaKitten, Yvonnie, Foolish and Masayoshi. Eight members of TeamGalaxy, an international team of influencers, also participated, forming a total of 16 players and creators.

Attendees played on the new Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, demonstrating the capabilities of immersive, high-performance smartphone gaming. In each round, the cheers of the public punctuated the competition and reflected the enthusiasm in the room.

At the end of this inaugural tournament, the #PlayGalaxy Cup will begin its full annual calendar. Starting in May, regional qualifiers will take place in Europe, Southeast Asia and Oceania, North America, India and South America.
