JAKARTA – The Esports Foundation (EF) has officially identified 16 games that will be played during the 2026 Esports Nations Cup (ENC), including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG: Battlegrounds, PUBG MOBILE, Honor of Kings and VALORANT.
This tournament will begin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2 to 29, 2026, where Indonesia will fight among more than 100,000 players from 100 countries to make their mark on the world stage.
“The game titles at ENC 2026 are not only made up of the most popular games, but also to provide the widest possible reach to players,†said Fabian Scheuermann, Gaming Director of the Esports Foundation.
By enabling countries and territories to form national teams, develop talent training pathways, and compete on the global stage, the ENC provides a clear framework for expanding participation while strengthening the esports ecosystem worldwide.
ENC is supported by a funding commitment of US$45 million. (769 billion Indonesian rupees), including a total price of 20 million US dollars. (342 billion Indonesian rupees) which will be given directly to players and coaches spread across 16 game titles.
With equal sharing for players and coaches for the same final positions, where the first champion will receive $50,000 (Rs. 855 million) for each player, followed by $30,000 (Rs. 513 million) for second place and $15,000 (Rs. 256 million) for third place.
Preparation of the Indonesian team
For the Indonesian team itself, the manager of the national team for ENC 2026, Glorya Famiela Ralahalo, revealed that they would make a choice to obtain quality athletes and coaches.
Additionally, the General Director of Esports Indonesia (PB ESI) is organizing a national tournament (pelatnas) based on sports science, which will then be managed in a professional, modern and sustainable manner.
“The second pillar of our strategy is therefore to build a bootcamp or platinum program based on sports science, which will then be managed professionally, modern and sustainable,” declared Glorya during a press conference on Thursday April 9.
In this pelatnas, athletes are not only trained on the techniques of the game, but also on other aspects such as physical fitness, recovery, mental health, nutritional assessment and psychological support of the sport.
