In Ollioules, a neighboring town of Toulon, a rich program of events is offered from April 4 to 12, including the European Days of Crafts, Easter, and various cultural events.
The town of Ollioules is gearing up to experience an intense week of activities from Saturday, April 4 to Sunday, April 12, 2026. With the major event of the European Days of Crafts, Easter festivities, and a diverse cultural program, residents and visitors will have plenty of options to keep busy and entertained.
The European Days of Crafts at the heart of the festivities
For over 30 years, Ollioules has been committed to promoting craftsmanship and has been a member of the “City and Crafts” network since 1998. From April 10 to 12, the town will focus on this event, which includes demonstrations, participatory workshops, a village of blacksmiths, guided tours, and exhibitions. The exceptional presence of Ludovic Marsille, Best Craftsman of France, and Alice De Kerchove de Denterghem, both art locksmiths, is noteworthy.
Several exhibitions will serve as a prelude to the main event. “Bubble Expo!” by Luc Patentreger will be on display at the Pierre Puget hall from April 4 to 12. The exhibition “Meeting with the glassmakers of Biot” will have its opening reception on Thursday, April 9 at 6:00 pm at the Criée aux Fleurs hall, in partnership with the city of Biot. Lastly, a conference titled “Heritage and Crafts in Ollioules: A Historic Link,” led by Annick Buisson-Etienne, will take place on Sunday, April 12 at 4:00 pm at the Jean Moulin hall.
Easter celebrations and family activities
The Easter weekend will feature various activities for the younger audience. On Saturday, April 4, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the So’Ollioules merchants’ association will organize a large Easter egg hunt as a scavenger hunt in the downtown shops. On the same day, the Museum of the Flower and the Olive Tree will offer a “Chocolate Surprise” to its visitors.
Starting from April 11, the same museum will launch the “Vacation at the Museums” operation with a fun investigation for children aged 3 to 11, “Noisette the cat’s enigma.” Students from the local schools will also enjoy the show “bleu Brésil” offered by the city on April 9 and 10 at the Salle des Fêtes.
Culture, knowledge, and job opportunities on the agenda
The week will also be filled with intellectual and practical events. On Tuesday, April 7 at 6:30 pm, the University of Free Time will offer a conference on “Approaching the Ancient City” by Professor Didier Martina-Fieschi. The next day, Wednesday, April 8 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the Bremond Space will host the Spring Job Fair, in partnership with France Travail and the Local Mission.
For those interested in exploring their family history, the Friends of the Ollioules Museums will lead a free genealogy initiation workshop on Thursday, April 9 from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Cinema will also be in the spotlight that same evening with two screenings of Ciné 83 at the Jean Moulin hall. Additionally, on April 7, the Heritage House will inaugurate its exhibition on the costumes of the Commedia Dell’Arte, on display until April 12.
Markets, sports, and local life
Ollioules’ life will also be punctuated by its traditional Provencal markets on Saturdays, April 4 and 11, and Thursday, April 9, as well as by the local producers’ market on Mondays, April 6, and Fridays, April 10, in the late afternoon. In terms of sports, the Charles Coste gymnasium will host the 17th national Kimbad tournament from April 4 to 6.
Several art exhibitions will continue, including those of Jean Yves Templier and Benoit Pérrière until April 5 at the Criée aux Fleurs, and “Seats and Materials” by Edgard Stanich until April 18 at the Olive Gallery. Lastly, a flea market organized by the Festival Committee of La Gare will take place at the agricultural market site on Sunday, April 12.
