For Nuit Blanche 2026 in Paris, the Parisian churches offer us beautiful artistic programs, often surprising. Head to the 12th arrondissement at 1, rue Cannebière or at 186 avenue Daumesnil, depending on the entrance, to (re)discover the Church of the Holy Spirit revealing its program for the 25th edition of Nuit Blanche in Paris and in Île-de-France, taking place this Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Contemporary artists have been inspired by this spiritual place and invite us to immerse ourselves in their creations on this Nuit Blanche in Paris. The old and the new, sacred art and contemporary art come together for an unforgettable and essential evening.
This red brick church, reminiscent of houses in the North, was built from 1928 to 1935 by architect Paul Tournon. The plan of the building was inspired by that of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Constructed in reinforced concrete based on plans by the François Hennebique company, its cladding is actually made of red bricks from Burgundy. Its decorative program traces the history of the militant and triumphant church from the 2nd to the 20th century, involving the Studios of Sacred Art, who created the mural painting and fresco, sculptures, stained glass windows, ironwork, mosaic, and stained glass designs in the crypt.
This historically rich place opens its doors for Nuit Blanche 2026, come and discover it!
