On Friday, May 15th, Flavie Flament spoke out, denouncing Patrick Bruel’s behavior. The singer, who is facing accusations of assault, saw the voice of the presenter join those of many anonymous individuals. “I am filing a complaint against Patrick Bruel for rape,” she declared, believing the singer had “stolen” her “adolescence.” In response, the singer’s lawyer denied the facts, stating that he “did not understand this situation.” On Sunday, May 17th, Patrick Bruel finally broke his silence on social media after hesitating to speak.

While he left his fate to the justice system, he decided to respond to the accusations made by the presenter. “I met Flavie Flament in the 90s. My career had started, she was beginning hers. We crossed paths, met a few times, we had a brief relationship together,” he stated.

In addition, Amanda Sthers’ ex-partner assured that this relationship was “neither violent, coercive, nor sneaky.” He denied any violence or drugs, stating, “I never mistreated her or left her in front of a ‘sordid hotel’ (…) I do not understand why, suddenly today, Flavie Flament is telling a different sordid story and filing a complaint against me. I simply know that this story is false,” he posted on his Instagram account.

Jean-Michel Aubry Journet, a former artist manager turned Ambassador of the Meetoo Media movement and co-founder of the MusicTooFrance collective, responded to the singer’s statement, criticizing his lack of consideration for the other women accusing him. This response was echoed by Flavie Flament in response to the singer.

On March 18, 2026, Mediapart published an article revealing allegations of sexual assault, rape, and attempted rape by eight women against Patrick Bruel. Flavie Flament participated in a second part of the investigation under the pseudonym Eva, along with 15 other witnesses testifying against the singer for sexual violence allegedly committed between 1991 and 2019.

Flavie Flament aims to support other women in their fight, as it has been the combat of her life since she spoke out against photographer David Hamilton. In a video interview on Mediapart in March 2024, Flavie Flament hinted that she had not revealed everything in her book, suggesting that more revelations might come.
