SC-Project presents its latest innovation, the Ti-Carbon, a new composite material combining titanium in the weaving of carbon.

From 2006 to 2026, twenty years have been dedicated by the Italian manufacturer to developing innovative solutions for motorcycle exhausts.

A new carbon material reinforced with titanium.

At the beginning of the year, Italian exhaust manufacturer SC-Project, celebrating its twentieth anniversary, persists in its innovation process despite the strengthening of European standards for pollution control. In Cassinetta di Lugagnano, where the company’s headquarters producing exhausts is located, a new era opens in the materials used for motorcycle exhaust manufacturing with the introduction of Ti-Carbon technology. An innovative solution developed by the company’s research and development department after months of refinement and testing. This technology combines carbon fiber and titanium in the weaving process, resulting in an innovative composite material in more ways than one.

A first application for the Kawasaki Z900.

This technological innovation will find its first application on a new CR-T M2 silencer, first seen on the current Kawasaki Z900. As can be seen, the result highlights a remarkably compact silencer with an unmistakably racing look, designed to accentuate the bike’s decidedly sporty character.

Technical benefits and an even more pronounced racing look.

Approaching the body of the silencer, the specificities of Ti-Carbon technology reveal differences in visual and textural aspects compared to traditional carbon weaving. The body is made from carbon fibers reinforced with titanium, a unique combination that presents three clear advantages: increased lightness compared to original elements, improved structural resistance compared to elements without carbon, and superior durability against a fully carbon composite.

In addition to these technical benefits, the carbon-titanium material also stands out with a new texture that reveals a unique pattern, giving the silencer immediate recognition and highlighting its racing identity.

More information to come.

The deployment of this new material combining carbon and titanium will gradually be introduced within the SC-Project range, with applications on high-performance machines like the Z900 roadster.
