Who Is Geno Fortnite? Visitor Reveal Explained

The most recent Fortnite live evet has wrapped up with a big reveal. One of the Seven removed their mask revealing a familiar face, the Geno Fortnite skin. The live event made clear this reveal was a bit of a plot twist. But what exactly happened might be a mystery if you don’t follow Fortnite lore too closely. Or even if you do, because the game’s story can be quite difficult to follow at time.

It’s a Fortnite character who has been behind key plot points. Running through the first two Chapters of the game and having links to factions with a massive impact on the game. They haven’t been seen in a long time though, and their link to the current storyline is a bit of a twist. This is who Geno Fortnite is and why the skin reveal happened:

Who is Geno Fortnite?

At the end of the most recent live event you discover Geno is still an active part of the story. If you’re wondering who is Geno Fortnite, he’s a long-running character in Fortnite seasons from the very first Chapter that’s making return.

Geno is the leader of the Oathbound and founded the Imagined Order. This was part of the map in Chapter 4, as the Oathbound occupied the Citadel and was a boss on the map. He was also part of the first two Chapters as a villain. Geno was part of a group messing with the Zero Point and trying to escape the loop.

He popped back up in Chapter 3, with the IO. Trying to free the Zero Point. He appeared in some tie in comic books with marvel too. The Chapter 4 version of Geno was a younger new version of the character. While he was on the map, not much happened with him as a character here. Instead, he’s only returned recently as a new member of the Seven.

Geno Fortnite Reveal Explained

The most recent Fortnite live event saw a fight between the Foundation and the Ice King. After one decided to team up with the Dark Voyager to settle the Rivalry. After both were dispatched though, we returned to the Seven’s outpost to look at the map changes. Where Jones was shot and betrayed. Revealing a traitor in the Seven. As they took the mask off, we Saw Geno Fortnite standing there.

How is a character from Chapter 4 here? Who knows. What role will they play going forward? We don’t know. Fortnite has a habit of reusing characters without always addressing the logic of how they got here. the Geno Fortnite reveal is one of those. It’s set up for the next season.

This could physically be the same person as the snapshot of Geno we saw in Chapter 1 or 2. Or it could be the Chapter 4 one. Or more likely, a stand-alone snapshot with the same name and appearance so a new skin can get made!

Over Chapter 7 Season 3 starts, we should get more details about how the game’s story will develop. Geno will likely be a villain in the next Fortnite season.
