Shooting for the mini-series “Plus fort qu’elle” directed by Jérôme Cornuau for France 2 will take place in Bordeaux and its surroundings in the spring of 2026. A vast casting call has been launched for the production needs.

180 Extras Wanted in Gironde

A total of 180 extras are sought to embody a wide variety of profiles: gendarmes, police officers, waiters, firefighters, café customers, guests, and passersby. Scenes will be filmed in several municipalities, including Bordeaux, Lacanau, Gradignan, Baurech, and Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc.

Some searches are very specific, such as surfers for a scene at Grand Crohot, truck drivers, or couples for a nightclub sequence. Other scenes, like a funeral scene at the Chartreuse cemetery, will involve dozens of participants. The remuneration is set at €98 gross per shooting day, without coverage of transportation, accommodation, or parking expenses.

A 2-Month Extensive Shoot

The first shooting days will start from April 8 and continue until the end of May, with a few additional dates in June. Each extra must be available on specific dates according to the scenes. The production favors “candidates residing in the Bordeaux region to facilitate organization.”

A Series Adapted from a Successful Thriller

The series is based on the novel “Plus fort qu’elle” by Jacques Expert, published in 2020. This thriller portrays an investigation into the mysterious death of a woman in the Bordeaux suburbs, amidst a passionate affair and manipulation. Directed by Jérôme Cornuau, already known for several TV fictions (“Le Mystère du lac”, “Guyane”, and the feature film “Les Brigades du Tigre”), he signs this adaptation for France 2.
