Signes Municipal Library organizes immersive Werewolf Role-Playing Game Night
The village of Signes will be disturbed by an ancestral threat. For one evening, the municipal library invites residents to immerse themselves in one of the most popular social games of recent decades: The Werewolves of Thiercelieux. The event, organized by the town hall, will take place on Friday, April 10, starting at 7:00 p.m. and promises an experience rich in suspense, bluff, and deduction.
An immersive and friendly role-playing game
For the uninitiated, the game’s principle is simple yet remarkably effective. Each participant is secretly assigned a role: either a simple villager or a fearsome werewolf. The villagers’ objective is to unmask and eliminate all the werewolves, while the latter, under the cover of night, must devour all the villagers to win.
The game alternates between day and night phases, orchestrated by a game master. At night, the werewolves silently consult to choose their victim. During the day, all players discover who has been devoured, and a debate ensues to try to identify the culprits. Persuasion, accusations, alliances, and betrayals punctuate the discussions before a vote designates a suspect to eliminate. The game thus tests the talents of oratory, psychology, and the ability to conceal one’s true identity.
A challenge for the bravest
The library, a place of culture and knowledge, will transform into a game arena where trust will be a rare commodity. The organizers’ invitation is indeed a playful challenge: “Will you dare to join us?”. This evening is an opportunity to gather among neighbors and game enthusiasts in a friendly and mysterious atmosphere. It is part of the desire to make the library a true place for life and sharing, open to original and participative activities. Will you bluff well enough to survive as a werewolf, or will you show enough perspicacity to save the village?
