For the first time since his ankle injury against Chelsea on March 17, Bradley Barcola has been called up by his coach, Luis Enrique.
The French forward Bradley Barcola, who suffered an ankle sprain in March, is part of the Paris SG squad called up for the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Liverpool on Tuesday at Anfield.
Suffering from a “severe ligament sprain in his right ankle” against Chelsea on March 17 (3-0), the 23-year-old winger was sidelined for three weeks, despite being in great form just before his injury. On Sunday night, Bradley Barcola – who is unlikely to start on Tuesday night – shared a photo on Instagram of him training.
Former Lyon player resumed team training last week but was not fit enough to be called up by Luis Enrique for the first leg against the Reds at Parc des Princes (2-0). “He will not play tomorrow, it’s clear. He trained with the team, we are looking for him to be in the best shape for his confidence, it’s up to him to say when he is ready,” Luis Enrique explained last Tuesday.
Spanish midfielder Fabián Ruiz, who is recovering from a knee injury, has not yet returned to team training and is not included in the squad traveling to the northwest of England.
